The world of marketing doesn’t cover a single medium. It is basically about getting, and at the same time, keeping customers. Of course, the internet very much helps in this, but only if you implement internet marketing with the help of other tactical tools. It is known that most of the potential customers are usually cautious about placing important business, or from buying an expensive item, from an unknown online vendor. It is for this reason that all online companies must have brochures, and any other form of printed sales literature that can be handed out to potential customers and prospects.
|
Online companies keep printed literature for two main reasons, credibility and as a time-saving device. By credibility, it should be known that people expect a ‘real’ company to be one that has their own printed sales literature. So if you want to look professional, get a brochure done! A brochure is also time saving to the customer as the brochure can be taken home to be read at leisure. When venturing into making a brochure, it is important that you first know what exactly it is that your reader wants from you. To do this, you have to assess the order in which your reader’s questions will flow to you. It is a good idea to think of the nature of your business and imagine your customer asking questions to you about the type of business you have. Jot all these questions down and then present the answers for these questions in an interesting way in your brochure.

The cover of the brochure has to be the most interesting of the brochure as this is the first page that the reader sees on getting the brochure. If there is any mistake at all in this, then the sale of the item may be considered as good as lost. Avoid putting technical jargon on the first page of the brochure. Instead use thought-provoking statements that can motivate the reader to pick up the brochure to read. Maybe you could also add a flash telling the reader of something special like a discount or free report being in the brochure to make the customer more interested in reading the brochure. There is no point in putting your company logo or product name on the front of the brochure as it will not bring any profit! If your brochure has more than eight pages, a list of contents of the brochure will be very useful to the customer. |
|
In this way, they can read what interests them the most first. The next part of the brochure lies in the description of the product being added to the brochure. To do this, a list of the product features have to be listed out, and then a small description of the feature. Try to make the information in your brochure interesting enough for the customer to keep it to refer it in the future or to pass it on to other people. For example, if you deal with skin care products, you could add tips on combating pimples, dry skin, wrinkles and fine lines.

There is no steadfast rule saying that all brochures have to be A4 in size. Be imaginative and design your brochure in a special way. If you sell sports goods, you could shape the brochure into the shape of any sports equipment like a bat, ball or wickets. Try to be as personal as possible in the brochure by choosing words in the brochure that single in one an imaginary single person. Writing in a ‘I’m-talking-only-to-you” style always evokes better response from the customers. And another point to remember to make your brochure winning material so as to add atmosphere to the brochure. It shouldn’t sound much aloof and should be capable of sharing your feelings with the reader. Use more interesting words and examples in the brochure to describe your product. This makes the brochure more interesting and better to read! So the next brochure you make, try implementing these tips to get a better and more beneficial brochure!
