How to create a powerpoint slides

The powerpoint slides in the powerpoint presentation has to be in logical flow from beginning to end, like done in written work. You have to avoid jumping from point to point, and to adding information not related to the theme. To do this, it is strongly advised to draw an outline of the presentation and powerpoint slide before actually assembling the actual slides.

The powerpoint slide should have a maximum of six points per slide, with only six words per point. Avoid using text much in the powerpoint slide as depending on the color of the powerpoint presentation and font size selected, the text will be difficult to read. Not only that, if the audience pays too much attention on the written text, they will most likely not give you their full attention for your powerpoint presentation.

You have to select the colors for the powerpoint presentation with utmost care. Different combinations of color work well on a screen but there is a difference between how something looks on the computer screen and how the same thing looks when projected onto a screen or wall. You can also change the slide background color without going into the scheme, through the format menu if required. To find out if the font size of the powerpoint slide is correct, the slide has to be placed on the floor. If you can see it from standing position, then the audience can see it by looking at it from their seats. Use the minimum of animated sounds and texts in the powerpoint presentation as it only distracts the audience from the main points you are trying to project in the presentation. Though visual images on the powerpoint slide is great, they have to be selected and be appropriate to the point you want to make in the presentation.
