2. Meta Robots- Meta Robots makes it easy to tell the search engines will posts you want indexed and which you don’t. The array of options give you the most control over how the search spiders will crawl your pages.

3. SEO Smart Links- This tool makes interlinking fast and easy. It allows you to automatically link certain phrases back to certain posts every time you mention the phrase. It’s a hassle free way to make sure you’re linking back in a way that enhances your blog’s usability.
4. Google SEO Positioner- How can you know if your SEO efforts are paying off unless you keep track of your performance? This plugin tracks your ranking for certain keywords in Google. It’s a great way to see what keywords you need to focus on.
6. Yet Another Related Posts Plugin- You want your visitors to continue browsing through your blog after reading a post. One of the best ways to do this is to use a related posts plugin. This plugin can be used to include a short list at the end of each post with links to other similar posts. It keeps your readers moving through your blog in an orderly fashion.
8. No Self Pings - Internal linking is a crucial part of blogging. It keeps your visitors moving through your blog, and it adds to the user experience. Of course, it can be annoying getting notified each time you drop an internal link. The No Self Pings tool eliminates these notifications, only alerting you when you receive back links from other sites.
9. SEO Friendly Images- Images are an important part of blogging. They give your posts a unique flair, and they help break up the content. SEO Friendly Images does exactly what it says– it makes your blog images search engine friendly. The tool is easy to use, and it’ll save you a lot of time.

Most of the Plugins work can be done by only ALL IN ONE SEO too ? SEO friendly images, No Self Pings and Google Sitemap are usefull enough to have.
A nice list of Plugins for Optimum SEO Results. I have implemented some of these plugins on my blog – Tecue.com
I am going to implement Google SEO Positioner, and No Self Pings from this list
thanks for the list.
For short and crispy slugs, I prefer Smart Slug over SEO Slugs.
I’m very particular with the words which would make it into the slugs and those who don’t, and this is on aspect where Smart Slug shines.
Thanks for the list, great suggestions.
All of the automation is convenient, and is better than nothing if you know that you aren’t likely to do things manually.
It’s awfully easy to edit your own post slugs, and the 30 seconds of thought that you put into should be way more intelligent than any plugin can be.
Smart links might be great for SEO, but it can kind of suck for your readers if misused. Your out going links should be significant, prominent, and useful for your users if you expect them to give you a link every once in a while. If your articles are salted with interlinks that are just there because of keyword relationships rather than because they are relative to the subject, then the real links can kinda get lost in the jumble.
These are great plugins, I’m just sayin…
Tracking is a very important thing. That’s for the suggestion will definitely test them.
Thanks for the list. Very helpful.
Thanks. Found a couple more usefull plugins for my website here.
What??? only four responses? how people can be this stupid?
This is one of the best seo for wp posts on the internet!
Fantastic!
Congrats
Julie
This is really the all in one SEO plugin. Anybody that is eager to have a successful blog should have a plug in like this.
I think it is better to reduce your blogposts to %postname% permalinks and have similar/identical Title/URL. Otherwise, all other plugins are quite good. Thanks!
sometime I confuse, do I still need plugin or not, but now I realize that plugin is just to help, I only use Google XML Sitemaps and all in one SEO pack, and I’m interested to try Google SEO Positioner plugin. Thanks to let me know about that plugin…
I appreciate the information as I am always looking to learn new things in general but especially if it will help my website.
Thanks, this is very helpful.

Good read, thanks for the advice.!
Another I would suggest for the list is Greg’s High Performance SEO, which configures over 100 separate SEO characteristics while loading only about 600 lines of code per page view and avoiding the use of crude output buffer hacks. By contrast, the ‘leading’ SEO plugin (I won’t name names!) configures around 20 parameters and loads something like 2000 lines of code.
It’s not for everybody — several people have reported that they don’t want to have to deal with the full SEO picture and would rather just the some basics. But I think it’s worth checking out.
All the best,
Greg (yep, that one)

Thank you for this great information. I am really new at this SEO stuff and I can use all the help I can get. If anyone wants to take a look at my website and tell were I am going wrong it would be appreciated. Or even give me a quote. Thanks so much.
Good list, what happens when you use to plugins with the same functionality though. Joosts meta data plugin and platinum seo share some same feature.

What a brilliant story about search engines. I’m frankly astonished that this has not been said before to such an extent.
Brilliant commentary about seo. I’m frankly quite astounded that this has not been articulated before to such an extent.

is really great to increase site serp and number of indexed page.
it’s use search terms used by visitor from search engine to increase our on page seo ranking.
I don’t like to write silly things in comment boxes either. It’s not what I want to leave behind as my signature
Great post, one major plugin i think is missing is the related posts plugin it gives the blog the ability to link back to relevant internal pages.
This will improve my wordpress blog a lot. Thx for all those usefull tips and tricks.
I think that the All in one SEO pack is the best SEO plugin for WordPress. I use it everyday.
Great blog post Thomson! All plugins that you mention are superb and I use all of them except Google Positioner and Platinum SEO Pack. I use All in One SEO Pack instead.
I was using YARPP plugin. It is a nice plugin, however, it uses huge CPU usage and my hosting suspended my account and suggested not to use that plugin anymore.
